ATS Template 2026
The single-column Word template with the coaching notes left in.
Two pages, one resume. Page one is a complete worked resume with every phrase highlighted by the job it's doing: the verb, the thing improved, the number, the method, the keyword. Page two is the same resume with the colors stripped, ready to overwrite with your own career.
Paid once. No account, no renewal. The download link shows on the next screen and arrives by email.

The other templates tell you the rules. This one shows you a finished resume with the rules lit up in five colors, so you see the formula working before you copy it.
The key at the top assigns a color to each job a phrase does: red for the past-tense action verb (never "responsible for"), cyan for the thing you improved, green for the number itself, yellow for the method that makes the result repeatable, magenta for the hard keywords an ATS matches on. The whole first page is highlighted accordingly, bullet by bullet.
The sample content is a full worked career, two degrees and three jobs deep, with real-shaped figures: releases doubled, $2,200 a month saved per employee, recurring tickets down 38%. You aren't imagining what a strong bullet looks like; you're reading a page of them.
Page two is the identical resume with every highlight removed and every line in plain black. Once the pattern has sunk in, you overwrite page two and delete page one, so no stray highlight can survive into the file you send.
One straight column, no tables, no text boxes, and the contact line sits in the body of the document rather than a Word header. Headings are the plain words screening software expects: education, work experience, skills & tools, certifications.
The worked resume belongs to an invented product manager: an MBA, an engineering degree, dashboards and sprint bullets. The formula transfers to any field, but if you'd rather start from placeholder text already close to your own job, one of the other templates is a shorter walk.
Pick any bullet and name what each highlight is doing: the verb, the thing improved, the number, the method, the keyword. After ten bullets the pattern stops needing the colors.
Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages all open it. Draft in the clean copy and leave page one intact above it, so the worked example stays on screen as the reference.
Replace the contact line under the name first and keep it in the body, then work down education and experience with your own entries, newest first within each section.
Past-tense verb, what you improved, by how much, how you did it, the tool or skill the ATS scans for. No percentage to hand? Use a count: people managed, tickets closed, clients held.
The magenta phrases on page one stand where the job description's nouns belong. Use the exact spellings from the posting you're answering, and only where they're true of you.
The annotated copy is scaffolding. Remove it before you export, so the PDF that leaves your machine is one resume, yours, with no highlighting on it.
Export to PDF and put it through the free score checker to confirm the keywords and the structure survived the trip.
Each is a dollar and each does one job well. Browse all four, then read the table below for the detail, or see them together in word resume templates.

It's one resume twice. Page one carries the color-coded teaching copy; page two is the identical resume in plain black. You edit page two, delete page one, and what you send is a single page of your own.
They're ordinary Word highlights, so they would, and that's exactly why the clean copy exists. Work in page two and delete page one before exporting, and no highlight can reach the file a recruiter sees.
It's a composite written for the file, with invented employers. The point isn't the biography but the shape of the bullets, each one running verb, improvement, number, method, keyword in that order.
No. Pay, and the download link appears on the next screen and arrives by email. It works for 30 days and up to 25 downloads.
That's what it is. Every line is placeholder text meant to be replaced. What you're buying is the structure: which sections appear, in what order, and how each bullet is phrased.
No. This is a Word file you edit yourself, paid for once. The builder scores your resume as you write it and exports a PDF, and it's priced separately from $4.99.
