two-column

Vantage resume template

Best for product & design. Change the colour and typeface below — what you see is what the editor opens with, and the PDF keeps every word as selectable text.

What a parser sees

Measured on this template's own rendered output, not claimed. 4 of 5 pass.

Reading order — caution

Two columns. Workday, Greenhouse and Lever read this in the right order; some older Taleo setups interleave the sidebar with the main column. Pick a single-column template if the posting looks like it runs on legacy software.

No layout tables — passes

Nothing is laid out in a table, so no cell ends up read out of sequence.

Real, selectable text — passes

Every word is real text rather than part of a picture, including your contact details — so it can be copied out and searched.

Standard section names — passes

Sections are named the way parsers expect (Contact, Education, Skills…), so they land in the right fields.

Nothing floated out of flow — passes

No text is pinned to a fixed spot on the page, which is the other common way reading order gets scrambled.

Writing the content is the harder half. The Graphic Design & Creative guide goes section by section for this field.
